- Volunteer your time .... just a few hours every now and then makes a world of difference
- Donate food items that are fresh and nutritious
- Attend your local events that are in support of the food bank in your area
- Consider taxable donations and inclusion in your will or insurance (consult with your tax professional)
- Drop off your recyclables at local drop off locations and donate the proceeds
- grow a little extra in your garden
- Glean fruit and vegetables for donation to help with our fresh produce needs
- Have fun holding your own food or funds drive
- Donate gently used clothing for daily wear and especially winter outerwear
- Sponsor a "Success by 6" nutrition package (details available at your local office)
- Commercial kitchen operations or retail food businesses can participate in our Food Reclamation Program where food that may have gone to waste can be collected and allocated accordingly
- Donate to the Food Bank at local participating merchants (some will match your donation)
- Donate your Canadian Tire money
- Hold a garage sale or yard sale and accept food bank items as payment
- Buy a Tim Horton's "Smile" cookie
- Coordinate a toy run with your local motorcycle enthusiasts
